In this article, you are going to learn some important tips that will make a job interview much less stressful.

Invest a little time prior to the interview getting ready and it will be much easier to handle. The key to effective interviewing is to project confidence, stay positive, and be able to share examples of your workplace skills and your qualifications for the job.

Brush up your communication skills, so you can speak clearly and concisely about the assets you have to offer the employer.

Take the time to work on your interview skills - effective interviewing will help you get hired.

With some advance preparation, you'll be able to nail the interview and showcase the experience that makes you the ideal candidate for the company's next new employee.

7 Interview Tips That Will Help You Get the Job

Here are job interview tips to help prepare you to interview effectively. Proper preparation will help alleviate some of the stress involved in job interviews, and the more you prepare, the more comfortable and successful you will be at interviewing.

1. Practice and Prepare
Practice your responses to the typical job interview questions and answers most employers ask. Think of concrete examples you can use to highlight your skills. The easiest way to do this is to make a list of the job requirements, and
match them to your experience. Providing evidence of your successes is a great way to promote your candidacy.

Also, have a list of your own questions to ask the employer ready.

2. Research the Company
Do your homework about the employer and the industry so you are ready for the interview question "What do you know about this company?" Try to relate what you have learned about the company when answering questions. Know the interviewer's name, and use it during the job interview. If you're not sure of the name, call and ask prior to the interview. Building rapport and making a personal connection with your interviewer can up your chances of getting hired. People tend to hire candidates they like, and who seem to be a good fit for the company culture.

3. Get Ready Ahead of Time
Don't wait for the last minute to pick out an interview outfit, print extra copies of your resume, or find a notepad and pen. Have one good interview outfit ready, so you can interview on short notice without having to worry about what to wear. When you have an interview lined up, get everything ready the night before. Make sure your interview attire is neat, tidy and appropriate for the type of firm you are interviewing with. Bring a nice portfolio with extra copies of your resume. Include a pen and paper for note taking.

4. Be On Time (That Means Early)
Be on time for the interview. On time means five to ten minutes early. If need be, take some time to drive to the interview location ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going and how long it will take to get there. Give yourself a few extra minutes to visit the rest room, check your outfit, and calm your nerves. Here's more on preparing for an interview.

5. Try to Stay Calm
During the job interview, try to relax and stay as calm as possible. Remember that your body language says as much about you as your answers to the questions. Proper preparation will allow you to exude confidence. Take a moment to regroup if you need it.

Maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Listen to the entire question ( active listening) before you answer, and pay attention - you will be embarrassed if you forget the question

6. Show What You Know
Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions. When discussing your career accomplishments, match them to what the company is looking for. Use examples from your research when answering questions, “I noticed that when you implemented a new software system last year, your customer satisfaction ratings improved dramatically. I am well versed in the latest technologies from my experience with developing software at ABC, and appreciate a company who strives to be a leader in its industry.” Here's how to make a match between your expertise and the company's requirements.

7. Follow Up
Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. You can also include any details you may have forgotten to mention during your interview. If you interview with multiple people send each one a personal note. Send your thank you note (email is fine) within 24 hours of your interview.

10 Best Job Interview Tips for Applicants

1. Conduct Research on the Employer, Hiring Manager, and Job Opportunity Success in a job interview starts with a solid foundation of knowledge on the jobseeker’s part. You should understand the employer, the requirements of the job, and the background of the person (or people) interviewing you. The more research you conduct, the more you’ll understand the employer, and the better you’ll be able to answer interview questions (as well as ask insightful questions” see #8). Scour the organization’s website and other published materials, search engines, research tools, and ask questions about the company in your network of contacts. Learn more about job search job interview researching here.

 2. Review Common Interview Questions and Prepare Your Responses Another key to interview success is preparing responses to expected interview questions. First, ask the hiring manager as to the type of interview to expect. Will it be one-on-one or in a group? Will it be with one person, or will you meet several members of the organization? Your goal is to try to determine what you’ll be asked and to compose detailed yet concise responses that focus on specific examples and accomplishments. A good tool for remembering your responses is to put them into a story form that you can tell in the interview. No need to memorize responses (in fact, it’s best not to), but do develop talking points. There are excellent tools available to help you with interview questions and responses. Also, consider using the STAR Interviewing Technique.

 3. Dress for Success Plan out a wardrobe that fits the organization and its culture, striving for the most professional appearance you can accomplish. Remember that it’s always better to be overdressed than under” and to wear clothing that fits and is clean and pressed. Keep accessories and jewelry to a minimum. Try not to smoke or eat right before the interview” and if possible, brush your teeth or use mouthwash. Find more detailed advice” including specifics for men and women jobseekers” in our article, When Job-Hunting, Dress for Success.

 4. Arrive on Time, Relaxed and Prepared for the Interview There is no excuse ever for arriving late to an interview. Short of a disaster, strive to arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled interview to complete additional paperwork and allow yourself time to get settled. Arriving a bit early is also a chance to observe the dynamics of the workplace. The day before the interview, pack up extra copies of your resume or CV and reference list. If you have a portfolio or samples of your work, bring those along too. Finally, remember to pack several pens and a pad of paper to jot notes. Finally, as you get to the offices, shut off your cell phone. (And if you were chewing gum, get rid of it.) For additional tips and advice, read our article, 24-Hour Countdown to the Job Interview.

 5. Make Good First Impressions A cardinal rule of interviewing is to be polite and offer warm greetings to everyone you meet” from the parking attendant to the receptionist to the hiring manager. Employers often are curious how job applicants treat staff members” and your job offer could easily be derailed if you’re rude or arrogant to any of the staff. When it’s time for the interview, keep in mind that first impressions” the impression interviewers get in the first few seconds of meeting you” can make or break an interview. Make a strong first impression by dressing well (see #3), arriving early (see #4), and when greeting your interviewer, stand, smile, make eye contact, and offer a firm“ but not bone-crushing“ handshake. Remember that having a positive attitude and expressing enthusiasm for the job and employer are vital in the initial stages of the interview; studies show that hiring managers make critical decisions about job applicants in the first 20 minutes of the interview.

 6. Be Authentic, Upbeat, Focused, Confident, Candid, and Concise Once the interview starts, the key to success is the quality and delivery of your responses. Your goal should always be authenticity, responding truthfully to interview questions. At the same time, your goal is to get to the next step, so you’ll want to provide focused responses that showcase your skills, experience, and fit” with the job and the employer. Provide solid examples of solutions and accomplishments” but keep your responses short and to the point. By preparing responses to common interview questions (see #2), you’ll ideally avoid long, rambling responses that bore interviewers. Always attempt to keep your interview responses short and to the point. Finally, no matter how much an interviewer might bait you, never badmouth a previous employer, boss, or co-worker. The interview is about you” and making your case that you are the ideal candidate for the job.

 7. Remember the Importance of Body Language While the content of your interview responses is paramount, poor body language can be a distraction at best” or a reason not to hire you at worst. Effective forms of body language include smiling, eye contact, solid posture, active listening, and nodding. Detrimental forms of body language include slouching, looking off in the distance, playing with a pen, fidgeting in a chair, brushing back your hair, touching your face, chewing gum, or mumbling. Read more about perfecting your body language in our article, The Unspoken Secrets of Job Interviewing: How Your Nonverbal Presentation and Behaviors Impact the Impression You Make.

 8. Ask Insightful Questions. Studies continually show that employers make a judgment about an applicant’s interest in the job by whether or not the interviewee asks questions. Thus, even if the hiring manager was thorough in his or her discussions about the job opening and what is expected, you must ask a few questions. This shows that you have done your research and that you are curious. The smart jobseeker prepares questions to ask days before the interview, adding any additional queries that might arise from the interview. For an idea of questions you could ask at the interview, see our article, Questions You Can Ask at the Job Interview, as well as our article, Make a Lasting Impression at Job Interviews Using Questions.

 9. Sell Yourself and then Close the Deal The most qualified applicant is not always the one who is hired; the winning candidate is often the jobseeker who does the best job responding to interview questions and showcasing his or her fit with the job, department, and organization. Some liken the job interview to a sales call. You are the salesperson” and the product you are selling to the employer is your ability to fill the organization’s needs, solve its problems, propel its success.

Finally, as the interview winds down, ask about the next steps in the process and the timetable in which the employer expects to use to make a decision about the position. See our article, Closing the Sale and Overcoming Objections in Job Interview.

 10. Thank Interviewer(s) in Person, by Email, or Postal Mail. Common courtesy and politeness go far in interviewing; thus, the importance of thanking each person who interviews you should come as no surprise. Start the process while at the interview, thanking each person who interviewed you before you leave. Writing thank-you emails and notes shortly after the interview will not get you the job offer, but doing so will certainly give you an edge over any of the other finalists who didn’t bother to send thank-you notes.

4 Important Roles Of An entrepreneurs In The Society

The question of who entrepreneur is, is already known to some people but for clarity sake, we are going to give a brief definition of the term.

    WHO IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
An entrepreneur is a starter. An entrepreneur is an initiator, a challenger and a driver.
Someone that creates something new, either an initiative, a business or a company. He or she is the beginning (and sometimes the end)
of a venture, project or activity. The
entrepreneur might not be the ideator, but he or she is definitely the one that decides to make that idea a reality.

Having known who entrepreneur is, let's highlights on the key roles they play in the society.
Entrepreneurs are not the only ones who benefit when they start businesses. Although job creation is one of the most important contributions they make to society, it's certainly not the only one.

Entrepreneurs can play important roles in their communities, particularly when they turn their energies to philanthropy and innovation.

    1) Help Wanted
Entrepreneurs do not only create jobs for
themselves but for other people in their communities. Although new business owners might start their businesses with only one or two employees, those numbers increase as the company grows. The cumulative effect of multiple small business start-ups creates a
significant impact when it comes to job creation. In some countries, that impact is evident when you look at employment statistics. The U.S. Small Business Administration reports that small firms
created 63 percent of the net new jobs from mid-2009 till date

    2) Support for the Economy
Entrepreneurs not only create jobs in their own companies but also contribute to improving their local economies. When people are employed, they spend money in local businesses, such as clothing stores and restaurants, which keeps those businesses flourishing. The new company establishes relationships with suppliers, vendors and other companies and spends money purchasing good and services from those companies. The existence of a new company can encourage others to open businesses in the same area, which in turn spurs new job creation.

    3) Giving Back
Entrepreneurs contribute to their communities with their charitable contributions. In some cases, entrepreneurs start businesses that
focus equally on profit and charitable goals.
For example, a financial company might start a program that provides loans to low-income female business owners. Some entrepreneurs don’t restrict their charitable activities to providing money but work directly with organizations. A survey of 146 entrepreneurs conducted by Harris Interactive and Ernst & Young revealed that 90 percent of entrepreneurs surveyed give money to charity and 70 percent donate their time. Because entrepreneurs are often experts at finding resources and funding and marketing their products, they can provide invaluable advice
    to nonprofit organizations.

    4) It's Brand New
The freedom from corporate rules and regulations can free entrepreneurs to create new products that benefit society. The telephone, invented by Thomas Edison, profoundly changed people’s lives when it was invented. The computers many of us can’t live without wouldn’t exist if not for entrepreneurs
like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Although entrepreneurs can succeed with tried-and-true business models, it’s often innovation that sets them apart from competitors whose employees might not have the same passion for finding new solutions to problems.

Over to you, as an entrepreneur, what are your impact in the society of today. You can use the comment section in answering this question. Do not skip

Congratulations! You're scheduled for your first job interview. You already know the importance of arriving on time, wearing neat, clean clothes and spitting out your gum. Here comes step two: answering those tricky interview questions. The following are some typical questions you might be asked. The whole idea of an interview is to talk about your positive traits. I confronted him in a strong way. The situation is much better now.

Procedure To Create N-Power 2017 Account, Verify BVN/Upload Data

Procedure To Create N-Power 2017 Account, Verify BVN/Upload Data

N-Power registration has some slight adjustments from the first and these include.

    1. The second phase registration is more of an interactive interphase. Applicants don’t just upload data and go, the test which erstwhile was written separately at a slated date will be written immediately by applicants to complete their registration.

    2. BVN will be auto searched by site before proceeding to the next phase. If BVN exists then one is cleared to proceed. this development is not unconnected with series of problems faced with unmatched, incorrect BVN in the first batch registration.

NOTE: Based on the few points above, I would like to reiterate that prospective applicants should be fully involved and be physically present in the process of registration to proofread their info and write their test.

The issuance of forms in this phase will not be possible for obvious reasons, so I urge all to take this phase serious.

Assuming that you are selected For This Job, what will be your strategy for next 60 days?

I fund this article helpful and sharing it with you will be a wise decision.
As an interviewee this question came to you on the day of your interview. How would you answer it?

    Question?
Assuming that you are selected, what will be your strategy for next 60 days?

    Brief explanation
The interviewer wants to know whether you are looking for a career rather than just a job. Hiring managers look for workers who are familiar with the industry and appear ready to hit the ground. It can sometimes be challenging to put certain things into words. Describing your strategy for the first  60 days of a new job is possibly the strongest resource you can have while in the interview process.  They are trying to encounter your career goals as well as how the job works with your overall plan. Ensure them that you are a good performer and can give your best performance for the betterment of the company and your professional growth. Use diplomatic answer that will impress your interviewer.

    Note - General Tips:

     - Explain how you can grow in this position.

     - Describe what your plans are with the opportunity.

     - Employers don’t want workers who are focused solely on what the job can do for them—they want employees who focus on what they can do for the company.

     - Ensure the interviewer knows that you are interested in the long-term potential for this position.

     - Your answer should be targeted towards interviewers' expectations, not your personal needs.

     - Give the reference action plans that have build you professionally at new jobs in the past.

     - Emphasize Your Knowledge and Experience to Demonstrate Your Value.

     - Talk about how your previous experience has prepared you to handle situations that you will likely face if hired.

     - Avoid going into excessive detail about previous jobs.

     - Never mention the words like, wait-and-watch, wait-and-see, etc.

     - Prepare to take constructive criticism and make sure you can back up what you plan to do.

First 30 days – Focus on training, finding mentors, and understanding the company culture and your specific role as it reflects to both your job description and the people working around you.

30-60 days – Implementing your training and getting your experience into action  optimizing your performance. Be an effective leader/coworker and build relationships that benefit you, your position and the company standard.

Answer :  If I am chosen for this place, I will use my initial 60 days in getting deeper knowledge about the company culture and my specific role in terms of the involvement to the company and increasing the overall productivity . An Entrepreneur Who Has Hired Over 1,000 People Shares His 10 Best Pieces Of Advice To Land The Job

An entrepreneur who has hired over 1,000 people shares his 10 best pieces of advice to land the job

It's probably not as scary as you think. Aungkul Intaraprasong / Shutterstock.com
There's nothing like trying to find your first job. Whether you've just left university or you're searching straight from high school, it can feel like you're sending your CV into the void.
You might start feeling like it's pointless going up against so many people who have a lot more experience than you, and it may seem like you'll never get your foot in the door.

However, it's probably not as bad as you think. Ed Mitzen, founder of marketing company Fingerpaint, has been in the advertising world for a little over 20 years. Over that time he has hired over 1,000 people, many of them recent graduates.
Business Insider asked him what recent graduates or students who are job-hunting for the first time need to know.
Here are his top 10 pieces of advice:

    1. Don't stress out about how much time it takes.
Mitzen has three kids, two of whom are nearly finished college. He tells them they have 40 years of work ahead of them, maybe more, so there's no point stressing out if it takes you a few months to find a job once you graduate.

"A lot of these kids who I interviewed, they [act] like it's life or death if they don't get a job a month after graduating," Mitzen told Business Insider. "I try to tell them that you're going to have plenty of time to work, so just give yourself a little bit of a break, and don't get too stressed out in the process."

    2. Know that rejection is part of the game.
Don't get too frustrated with rejection. Mitzen said it's just part of the game. Job applications and interviews take practise just like anything else, and it can take a while to get it right. So don't get stressed out if the first few interviews don't go swimmingly.

    3. Focus on the industry, not the job.
Chances are, you're probably not going to be offered your dream job straight out of school — and that's fine. Mitzen says although it can be tempting to go for a role at the level you think you deserve, you should probably focus on getting an entry level position in an industry you really want to get into.
"You're much better off trying to get into an industry that you have some interest in, even if it's not the ideal job you were hoping for," he said. "I tell young graduates that if you want to be in advertising and an advertising agency in New York offers you a job answering the phones, take it. Anything that gets your foot in the door."
This way, you can get to know people, figure out what opportunities might be coming up, and show those higher up that you're passionate about the field.

    4. Don't let money be the focus too early on.
It's hard to forget those student loans you're probably dragging along. If you're an overseas student, or you study in America, your fee may have been astronomical. This means it can be tempting to go for any job that seems to pay pretty well, or gives you lots of hours, like bartending.
However, Mitzen says you have to get into the industry you want to sooner or later, so doing this is just delaying the inevitable.
"Eventually you're going to have to take an entry level position somewhere, to begin your sort-of-real career," he said. "And if you need money, or if that's more of a driving force, then maybe bartend at night or on the weekends."

    5. Do your research.
One big mistake recent graduates make in interviews is not doing enough research on the company, Mitzen says. It's pretty obvious whether someone's done their homework, because they'll ask pointed questions.
"They should at least know what we do, they should read up on some of our current happenings, or clients that we want, or press releases that have gone out, or relevant industry news," Mitzen said. "They should at least have some basic understanding of what it is we do and the types of people we're looking for, and what's new in our world."

    6. Don't ask about salary/ holiday/ benefits too early.
Another error is when interviewees ask about the benefits of the job too early on. Mitzen says that sometimes candidates ask about these things in the first interview, and it sends a "really poor message."
"You have to be offered the job first before you really have a right to start talking about that stuff," he said. "It doesn't really show a real desire to come in and work really hard."

    7. Be positive and confident.
Mitzen looks out for candidates who are high energy, are they looking him in the eye when they shake his hand, and appear confident.
"I was 22 years old at one point, so I know that they're nervous and it's uncomfortable," Mitzen said. "But can they get through that to show that they're really excited to be there, and really engaged and present?"
Don't take it so far that you're cocky, but you should at least show that you're excited about the opportunity. This is especially important in advertising, Mitzen says, because it's like a team sport and you work in a collaborative environment.
"We need them to have this air of positivity about them," he said. "If people come in and they look nervous, and they're quiet or they're not smiling, or they appear really reserved, it's challenging. You want somebody who's high energy, and looks like they're going to be excited to be there."

    7. Remember the interviewer is rooting for you.
When you've got to the interview stage, that means the employer thinks they might want to hire you. They're looking for someone who's going to be a good fit in the company, is intelligent, and shows initiative. They're rooting for you, and they probably won't want to try and trip you up.
Of course, there will be tricky questions, but just be honest if you can't answer them, or you need some clarification.
"We're not trying to trip people up or put them in a really high stress situation and hope that they bomb," Mitzen said. "We want people to do well, and if you make a mistake, you laugh it off and you ask if that answers the question and try to move on."

    8. Recognise that you're not experienced, but that's fine.
"I assume that when you're coming out of university, and you're new to the job market, for the most part you're not really qualified to do anything," Mitzen said. "Nobody is. I wasn't either."
Rather than worrying about how qualified or experienced the other candidates are, focus on what you can bring to the role. Mitzen says he's more interested in getting to know you as a person — whether you're hard working, friendly, or have some unusual interests and skills.
"I always think it's great if you can put on your resume things that are a little bit unique, like if you can juggle, or if you know how to do sign language," he said.
This actually worked for Mitzen's daughter. She got a job teaching kids because the employer liked the fact she would be able to teach them juggling.

    9. Make the most of your connections.
Mitzen says he tells graduates all the time not to be afraid of taking advantage of personal connections. His company is only a few hundred people in size, but he gets five to ten resumes a day, and it can be hard to differentiate between them unless one really stands out.
"If we have a personal reference or recommendation from someone, that can make a difference, at least in terms of getting you through the door," Mitzen said. "I think kids are nervous to take advantage of people that they know or that their families know, because they feel like it's cheating, and they need to be able to do it on their own."
At the very least, it will probably get you into a quick interview or coffee meeting with someone at the company.

    10. Show you want it.
Mitzen says he likes candidates to show passion by following up with a handwritten note thanking him for the opportunity to interview.
"I just think going that little bit of an extra mile matters," he said. "I think people can show how passionate and excited they are about the opportunity — those are the people that we want."
